RECREATION CENTER
Uintah Community Center construction continues to move forward despite some minor weather set backs. With a little over four to five months of construction left, many of the major construction milestones have been met including the completion of the parking lots, two pools, and the basketball gym - and the stonework on the front of the building is taking shape. Designs have been approved and are ready to go for the installation of the climbing wall and landscaping will begin once the snow clears

Vernal’s community leaders have bee planning a recreational indoor complex for more than 10 years. With the help of Edwards and Daniels Architects and Layton Construction, the 70,000 square foot building is taking a cue from the natural surroundings prevalent in Uintah County.

“The fact that we have been able to provide the community with a fun and family-friendly recreation center without taxing citizens is amazing,” said Fran Harding, Uintah Recreation District Board Chairperson. “I know that I speak for the entire board when I say that we are excited about how the center supports the quality of living in Vernal and the surrounding area.”
